It may be a question many have asked before the 2020 season begins, but with a new wave of offshore wind power coming on stream, what will we see when the boats are finally here?
While the next wave of wind power has yet to be fully realised, the first big wave of the new wave is expected to be a new generation of offshore turbines, or wind farms, which will be used to generate electricity for the grid.
This is expected in Australia’s new offshore wind farm, which is currently under construction off the coast of Western Australia.
The massive new wind farm will use a series of turbines to generate power.
The turbines will be located in the mouth of a large lake, which allows them to be placed on a lakebed and allow them to rotate freely without the need for a cable.
This means they can be moved in order to provide power when the wind is blowing, and also allow for a more flexible grid to be built when wind energy is not needed.
According to the Energy and Resources Institute (ERI), this will allow for more efficient use of energy, allowing for the use of more electricity for a wider range of purposes.
It will also be a big step towards the introduction of more efficient power generation technologies, with the ability to generate more power for a greater range of use cases.
With the first wind farms coming online around the world, the fact that Australia is also heading to the first offshore wind turbines will definitely boost the industry in the coming years.
A new wave in offshore windThe next wave is likely to be another generation of wind turbines, this time using a series that are smaller than the ones currently in use in Australia.
These will be positioned further away from the water, where they will be able to be more easily moved and positioned in order for the turbines to rotate more easily.
While this will mean less power being wasted on the grid, this will also allow the new generation to be put into production much sooner, as there will be less wind available to be used.
The energy from this new wave will then be sent to a power station for generation.
With wind turbines being built in China, it will be interesting to see what happens with the industry once this new generation is installed.
The potential of a more sustainable power generation system, and the ability for Australia to reduce the amount of wind it uses, will certainly make for an exciting future.
